Who operates this website?

This website is operated by Aesthetic Launch Lab, a UK aesthetics digital specialist. It is an information resource, not a clinic. It provides no treatment, employs no practitioners, holds no patient records and recommends no provider. Enquiries sent through it are handled by Aesthetic Launch Lab.

What this site is

Glasgow Aesthetic Clinic is a reference on non-surgical aesthetic treatment for people in and around Glasgow who are trying to make a decision. It explains how each procedure works, who it suits, who it does not, what recovery involves, which complications need a plan, and how to judge the person proposing to treat you.

It is operated by Aesthetic Launch Lab, a UK digital specialist working in the aesthetics sector. Enquiries sent through this site are read and answered by Aesthetic Launch Lab at hello@aestheticlaunchlab.com.

What this site is not

  • It is not a clinic and has no premises, no treatment rooms and no appointment book.
  • It employs no doctors, nurses, dentists or aesthetic practitioners.
  • It does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for an in-person assessment by a suitably qualified and regulated practitioner.
  • It does not recommend, rank, rate or endorse any clinic or practitioner in Glasgow or anywhere else.
  • It takes no payment from treatment providers. There is no advertising, no directory, no sponsorship and no referral arrangement.

The rules this site is written to

Four decisions shape everything published here, and each of them removes something that most sites in this sector include.

No invented specifics
No practitioner, patient, price, address, opening time, review, rating, award, accreditation or result is named or described anywhere on this site, because none exists to describe. Where a page would ordinarily carry such a thing, it explains the absence instead.
No prices
Advertising a prescription-only medicine to the public is prohibited under the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, which covers botulinum toxin. Beyond the law, a figure quoted without the context of who assesses you and what happens when something goes wrong is not information. The cost guide sets out every variable instead.
No testimonials or before and after images
This site treats nobody, so it has no results and no patients. Publishing any would be an invention. The guide to reading reviews explains how to assess the evidence you are shown elsewhere.
No recommendations
Ranking clinics that have not been assessed would be worthless at best. Instead, every page teaches the verification steps that let you assess a provider yourself, using registers held by regulators rather than logos held on websites.

Editorial approach

Pages describe mechanisms, indications, contraindications, recovery, complications and the regulatory position as it stands in the United Kingdom, with Scotland's differences set out where they matter. Where the position is uncertain or changing, that is stated rather than smoothed over. Where a treatment cannot achieve what people commonly hope it will, that is stated too.

Nothing here is medical advice. Regulation in this field has been moving for several years and the position may have changed since a page was written. Check the current position with the relevant regulator and with a qualified practitioner before you rely on anything.

Enquiries

Ask a question before you book anything.

This site does not sell treatment and has no appointment book. What it can do is help you arrive at a consultation with the right questions, and tell you plainly when a procedure is not the answer to the thing that is bothering you.
